Disclosure - Flow (Amusement Remix)

The sound of whirling snow. And hats of to Nathan Albert, writer/selector at XLR8R, for constantly finding tracks that stands out and points beyond the current trends. (via)

Sorrow - Approaching Farewell (Stumbleine Remix)

Looking forward to this as soundtrack to an emotional scene - sad but filled with hope - in a good-hearted and moderately ridiculous tv-series like say, A Gifted Man. Someone just died at Clinica Sanando; slow motion, relatives crying, concerned bystanders, Doctors Holt and Sykora bow down their heads, refusing to accept they have lost a patient, it’s obvious they are really nice & compassionate people as well as highly skilled professionals. Salva - Yellobone (Shlohmo & 2KWTVR Remix)

Uh a nice piece, but this style of bass/post whatever-music is falling asleep, turning into modern muzak. The progressive edge is turning, re-focus, there’s always a new thing. (dl)

Nah Like - Blessed (Martin Sauvage remix)

Stretchy beats and a pan flute. New release from Orléans, France based label Soukouch Ethnik. (dl. The whole Get Closer EP, here)

ISSUE - Drive With A Boss

Moonroof, new mixtape from ISSUE, son of E-40 and brother of Droop-E. Ultra-tight production, irresistible hooks + mellow raps. Mixtape of the year contender. (dl Moonrof, here) (and The E1 -The E3 here)

Cassie - Long Way 2 Go (VVV Rmx)

Judging by the anonymous new tracks earlier this fall Cassies musical career isn’t going anywhere. But the remixes and edits of the standout tracks from her 2006 debut album keeps rolling in. Like this deft 2-step version of Long Way To Go by Austin, Texas producer VVV. (dl)

Wool - SF 94

I have no defense against house pianos like this. It’s too easy, really. Comes in four different shapes in four different mixes of San Fransisco DJ/producer Wools new single SF 94. (dl)

Beyonce - Countdown (Sinjin Hawke Bootleg)

A guy from Canada makes a playful post whatever-ish interpretation of Beyonces Countdown. (dl)

Raziek - Love That Thing

Exuberant, works equally well in headphones as on the dancefloor. From french producer Razieks new EP  Love vs Bass. (dl)
